These terms apply to your use of ComicBookStores.ca (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. What the site is

ComicBookStores.ca is an independent directory of comic book stores and related shops in Canada. We aren’t affiliated with any store, publisher or distributor listed on the site, and a listing isn’t an endorsement.

2. Accuracy of information

We try to keep listings accurate, but store details such as addresses, hours, phone numbers, stock and services change often and are provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that any information is complete, current or correct. Please confirm details with the store before you visit or make a purchase. To report an error, email info@comicbookstores.ca.

3. Dealings with stores

Any purchase, order, trade, consignment or other dealing with a store is between you and that store. We aren’t responsible for products, services, prices, refunds or the conduct of any store or person listed on the site.

4. Listings and content you submit

If you submit a listing, correction, photo, review or other content, you confirm that it’s accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, edit, format and display it on the site and in related promotion. We may edit, decline or remove any submission at our discretion, including listings for businesses that don’t appear to sell comics or that have closed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, defamatory or spam content.
• Scrape, copy or republish the directory in bulk without our written permission.
• Interfere with the site’s security or operation, or try to access accounts that aren’t yours.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Accounts

If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The site shows advertising and links to third-party websites, including store websites and social media pages. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

8. Intellectual property

The site’s design, text and compilation of listings belong to ComicBookStores.ca, except for content owned by others. Store names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ComicBookStores.ca isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
